Drs Boardman, King, Earl, Boyd & Cruickshank

Our GPs

We are a well-established practice and pride ourselves on being part of the local community and offering high-quality care to our patients. Most of the partners have worked at the practice for over 10 years and we are privileged to have cared for multi-generational families over the years.

We believe continuity of care is important and aim, where possible, for patients to be able to see the GP of their choice.

All GPs at the practice take part in regular ongoing training and educational events to keep our skills and knowledge up to date. We have invested in point-of-care testing that can be used in GP consultations, such as Kardia ECG monitoring.

In addition to standard GP training, across the team we have additional experience and interests in Dermatology, Family planning and sexual health, Menopause and women’s health, and Palliative Care.

The Team

The rest of the practice team is made up of our reception and admin team, who will assist you in accessing the care and help you need, and our practice nursing team, who are highly skilled in the management of chronic diseases, minor illnesses and women’s health, such as contraception and smear tests.

Our health care assistants are able to undertake monitoring such as blood pressure checks, blood tests and weight checks.

The practice also offers the services of an Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioner, who is able to assess musculoskeletal problems and refer on for imaging or consultant opinion if necessary, as well as link worker services that can provide support and advice for non-medical issues that may be impacting health and wellbeing.  Appointments can be made with the practice in the same way you would make a normal GP appointment.

As part of a wider team, we work alongside district nurses, health visitors, community rehabilitation teams and local pharmacists to provide a comprehensive and joined-up service.

Appointments and Access

We offer face-to-face and telephone appointments that can be booked in advance, both online and by phone. We ensure we have urgent GP appointments available daily for those who need to be seen on the same day.

We also offer extended hours appointments on Monday and Wednesday evenings, as well as home visits for patients who are genuinely housebound, where telephone assessment is not sufficient.

We look forward to welcoming you to the practice.
